Authoring

Creating a new text in the required language may be more efficient than translating one. Consequently, we also produce original material in our working languages.

Editing

Professional writers and translators check their work carefully before delivering it. Nevertheless, one or more supplementary review phases may be useful. This applies to translations as well as to original texts; examples include

Our principal language is Finnish. As an alternative to revising or reviewing material ourselves, we can arrange for an independent provider to do it, such as in the case of a translation we have carried out.

Supported source text formats

Normal workflow, normal rates

We support most common office and web text formats, for example plain text, XML, HTML and RTF files, Microsoft Excel®, Word and PowerPoint® files, OpenDocument Presentation, Spreadsheet and Text files, and TTX as well as SDLX files. (HTML or similar mark-up should be saved as text, not inside a word processing or spreadsheet file.)

Support for certain desktop publishing file formats is also available, although you will need to use a suitable export tool to tag such files before sending them to us.

Please note that PDF is not supported within our normal workflow. If you wish for us to translate the contents of a PDF file, we recommend that you first obtain the original file from which the PDF file was created.

Customized text extraction — hourly rate

We may be able to accept your source text even if it is in a format that cannot be processed within our normal workflow. In such a case, we will charge for our work by the hour. Please see the pricing page for more information.
